I relied on you to remember details!  But the way I remember it, we sat next to each other on our first day at Secondary School and you laughed at my shoes!  We started laughing together then and really never stopped.  That you were still laughing on our last phone calls is the way you lived life.  To the full.  You came to visit me in America when I lived there - San Francisco and Connecticut - and I came to visit you in your flat with Jo on Delia Street and your flat with Cath in Chiswick and your homes with Ron.  We loved meeting up in London - the King's Road, The Wolesley and Kettners for dinner, Queen's Tennis Club.  I will forever be grateful for the influence you have had on my life and will continue to have.  I will know your perspective on problems and still feel your support. You are everywhere and are there in the best bits of each day.
